Great British Clean Up

Residents are being asked to help keep Medway tidy as part of a national campaign to get half a million people out and about cleaning up their local communities.

From 2 – 4 March 2018, Medway Council will be supporting the Great British Spring Clean – the country’s biggest-ever community clear up led by Keep Britain Tidy.

Volunteers are encouraged to take part in organised litter-picks across Rochester, Strood, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham.

Anyone who would like to help keep Medway tidy should email stephen.lovick@medway.gov.uk with their name, a contact number and the event they wish to attend from the list below:


Friday, 2 March

09.30-10.30 Marlborough Road, Gillingham, behind Hospital, meeting point Junction of Marlborough Rd and York Ave

11.00 -12.00 - Elizabeth Court, Twydall, meeting point Junction of Elizabeth Court & Caldew Ave

11.00-12.00 - Bridal Way, Speaks Road, Rainham, meeting point the Bridal Way, Speaks Road end

12.30-14.00 - Prince Arthur Park, Gillingham, meeting point junction of Prince Arthur Road & Khyber Rd
