All fees are based on a maximum fee set by central government.

Medway Council is therefore able to charge an amount up to the maximum fee set by central government. The relevant fee is non-refundable. The fee is not for holding a licence but for the work needed to process the application, even if this results in a refusal.

Download forms from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport website or by contact the Licensing Unit.

Fees are represented in the tables below by the type of Premises Licence you are applying for. Please make sure that you have already obtained or applied for your operators licence from the Gambling Commission before making a submission to the council.

The first annual fee for the licence must be paid within 30 days of the initial grant date of the licence. Future annual fees will be payable on the anniversary of the licence coming into force (the effective date).
