Choosing childcare

All three and four year-olds, (and some two year-olds), are entitled to 15 hours a week of free early education.

Who provides childcare?

For younger children, baby and toddler groups can help give a great start to their education.

Use the Family Information Service to make a list of local childcare providers and have a list of questions ready to ask when you visit.

Many childcare providers have waiting lists for places. Parents returning to work should consider their childcare options before birth or adopting.
