Street Scene Enforcement Team

Medway Street Scene Enforcement Officers are a uniformed team that works towards improving the quality of our local environment, through investigating and dealing with complaints both reactively and proactively, relating to:

They aim to remove fly tipping after first inspection, dependant on size and materials contained in the fly tip.

They have powers to deal with all of the above issues including fixed penalty notice for environmental issues like dropping litter.

Medway Street Scene Enforcement Officers also work closely with the Environmental Enforcement Team and Waste Management, to resolve issues such as environmental crime.

Core hours of work are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, though this is flexible dependant on current work issues.

Officers also work together with other agencies, including the police and housing providers.

Contacting Medway Street Scene Enforcement Officers

Street Scene Enforcement Officers are not a first response unit. If you need help urgently, and a crime is in progress dial 999. If it is not an emergency, call the police on 101 - the new national non-emergency number for police forces across England and Wales. Our anti-social behaviour page has more advice.

Street Scene Enforcement Officers cannot be contacted directly, all enquiries should be made by phoning 01634 333333.
