Become an Estate Champion

The role of a champion is to be the voice for residents. Champions are expected to go on estate inspections to make sure things are noted by housing officers and if other residents wish to attend they can too.

Estate champions are the point of contact that isn’t a member of staff, who can take views to housing staff on your behalf and feedback any information when appropriate. There are meetings held throughout the year with the champions and Housing Services. At these meetings they develop and monitor an action plan for improving the estates and communication between Housing Services and residents.

Our August courses have now finished, but we are arranging more courses for September and October. To register your interest email tenant.participation@medway.gov.uk.

Register with People Bank

People Bank is an ever-growing group of tenants and leaseholders that we can call upon for housing consultation. It is a group of people willing to give a little of their time to answer questions on various issues. Members might be required to read and comment on a document or to answer a small survey by phone, email or text.

Join us on an estate inspection

An estate inspection looks at the exterior and communal parts, facilities and grounds of a Medway Council housing estate. Tell us you want to join an estate inspection.

You can also view the Estate inspection timetable.
