You can also use cash to pay a wide range of council bills, including council tax, business rates and rent, at post offices and banks. Use a payment slip from your payment book or the tear-off slip from your bill. If paying into a bank, your cheque should be made out to Medway Council. The bank may charge a fee for this service. Allow 5 working days for payment to reach the council. If paying into a post office, your cheque should be made out to Post Offices Ltd. Again, allow 5 working days for payment to reach the council.

Cash and cheques can also be deposited at Kingsley House using the automated till. Payments must be made using an appropriate payment slip or other information to identify the payment. If you are paying with cash, please make sure you have the correct amount, as we don't keep change.
