Medway Dance Network

U.Dance

U.Dance is a national programme which aims to increase the number of performances involving young people and support those who organise them. It raises awareness of the events that take place right across the country. The framework aims to provide dance performance opportunities for every child and young person in the country.

Medway Dance Network

Medway Dance Network (MDN) aims to unite anyone interested in and involved with dance in Medway.  Together we create outcomes such as events and continued professional development (CPD) opportunities for sharing ideas and links with related sectors.

Loop Dance Company

Loop Dance Company is Kent's leading dance company and is based at The Brook Theatre, Chatham. They offer weekly classes for professionals, and training opportunities for dance graduates and those embarking on a dance career through the Dance Artist Support Programme (DASP).

Dance events in Medway

Valuing Arts & Culture in Medway & Kent

Thursday 22 February 2018, Woodlands Arts Centre, Gillingham

A continued professional development opportunity for students aged 16 and over, graduates, teachers and emerging artists. This allows them to come together to explore and exchange knowledge and skills with leading artists and best practice. Leading artists will deliver workshops in different art disciplines that have health and wellbeing benefits for the community. 

Workshops last an hour between 10am-4pm. 

Between 5pm to 7.30pm, another opportunity to network, see and hear presentations from leading artists who have evidence based research for their arts practice with health and wellbeing benefits will also take place.

U.Dance Medway 2018

Sunday 25 February from 6.30pm at the Brook Theatre

This event will begin with a special pre-show Community Variety Showcase at 4.30pm at The Brook Theatre in Chatham and welcomes all dance groups and styles.  This is an exciting opportunity for talented youth dance groups aged 11 to 19 and up to 25 years for disabled dancers from Medway and Kent to perform to friends and family.  To apply please visit http://www.loopdancecompany.co.uk/ or email info@loopdancecompany.co.uk
