Open Top Tour Bus

Enjoy the many sites and attractions that Medway has to offer - 2017

Hop aboard the new look Open Top Tour Bus as we journey back in time to reveal the sights and history of Medway. Hear about the daring Dutch invasion of Chatham in 1667, known as the Battle of Medway, learn how it shaped England’s naval future and discover more about Medway’s substantial history as we pass through the three main towns of Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.

Your ticket will allow you to hop on and off at your leisure, so simply turn up at any of the pick-up points, sit back and enjoy the journey.

Meet Samuel Squeaks – this summer’s Battle of Medway mascot. Sammy will be on the 12pm bus from Rochester Visitor Information Centre on Thursday 31 Aug. If you see him, remember he loves hugs and selfies. Share your moments with us using the hashtag #BOM350 #OpenTopBus

Tours start from the coach bays at the back of Medway Visitor Information Centre in Rochester - however, if you can’t get to this starting point, don't worry you can join the bus at any of the stops en route.

To reach Upnor Castle, you will need to change at Chatham Waterfront Bus Station, catch another bus service and purchase a separate ticket to Upnor. A meet-and-greeter will be on board the bus throughout the service to look after you and ensure you have an enjoyable journey.

Tours run every day from Monday 24 July to Sunday 3 September inclusive. The first bus will leave Medway Visitor Information Centre at 11am every hour with the last bus departing at 4pm.
