White Road Community Centre
Medway Council's Early Years Team has invested more than
£150,000 in transforming the centre to provide enhanced pre-school
and family facilities and to improve the community hall.
The centre is suitable for:
- social occasions
- wedding receptions
- keeping fit
- training classes.
Main features include:
- a kitchen with a cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle and an
- toilets and a disabled toilet
- tables and chairs.

Laying out the equipment
People hiring the hall should let the halls attendant know,
approximately a week before the function, how they want the room
laid out and the tables and chairs will be set out out for them.
Please contact the attendant on 01634 840550. The
hirer must take responsibility for any decorations they wish to put
up in the hall.
Getting into and out of the building
The building will only be staffed during the time specified on
the booking sheet. Staff will arrive approximately 15 minutes
before the function if the booking is less than three hours
and 30 minutes before the function if the booking is three
hours or more. The latest finishing time for a booking is midnight,
which means the bar (if one has been booked) must close at 11.30pm,
the music must stop by 11.00pm and all the guests must leave by
midnight. The hirer then has half an hour to clear away their
Cleaning up afterwards
Hirers must remove all their equipment, food and personal
belongings from the building and leave the building clean and tidy
in the time allowed.

Prices start from £14.50 per hour, with discounts for regular
groups and are subject to change annually.
