Medway libraries hold books and online resources that can help you get going, including books about accounting and book keeping, building a website, customer service,  management theory, project management, staff appraisals and people management and starting a business.

  • Medway libraries subscribe to online resources to help set up a business - Business Resources 
  • Online Reference. The Oxford reference resource lists business and management under Social Sciences, and includes specialised dictionaries for business subjects including accounting, finance and human resources
  • Online Reference. The free access to academic research offers information about a wide range of business topics, including advertising, communication, commerce, marketing and sales, banking, management styles and communication and office and personnel management

Looking for a job?

Libraries can help find contact details and information for local and national companies. There are books about job-searching, interviews and how to write a CV.

You can use computers for free to fill in application forms and write your CV or covering letter.

The national careers service holds appointments at a library every week. Find out more about jobseeking in the library.
