Submerged SubmarineLead by creative producers LV21, Submerged will commission three local artists to investigate the River Medway's multi-layered landscape.

Responding to the submarines and other found objects, they will work with combinations of natural and manmade materials - including clay, bone, wood, metal, textiles and fossils – to create a collaborative installation revealing the hidden layers and stories of the River Medway and its banks.

Workshops in libraries for families and emerging local artists will support participants to create their own responses using reclaimed materials, as well as collecting personal stories or recollections.

LV21 will curate the artists and participants artworks and stories into an installation which will tour the main libraries in Chatham, Gillingham, Rainham, Rochester and Strood.
