Women and Girls #Thisgirlscan

This Girl Can logoMedway Sport runs programmes for all women, regardless of shape, size, age and ability. Whether you are an aspiring athlete or a complete novice, there is something within Medway to get all women active.

This Girl Can

Medway Sport supports This Girl Can, Sport England's campaign that is "a celebration of active women who are doing their thing no matter how they do it, how they look or even how sweaty they get".

Medway’s very own Paralympic Gold Medal winner Charlotte Evans is a supporter of the campaign and says: "It’s great seeing confident strong girls doing what they enjoy and embracing all the highs and lows that come with exercise and sport including the sweat, tears and in my case helmet hair’."

Medway Council offers new and expectant mums half-price swimming for 18 months at Medway Park, Strood Sports Centre and Hundred of Hoo Sports Centre pools.

Swimming is a great form of all-round exercise, especially when you are pregnant or getting back into exercise after giving birth.

The application form is available to new mums via midwives, health visitors and Medway's 19 children's centres. The completed form can be taken to one of Medway's swimming pools for the half-price swimming offer to be activated.
