Are you looking for a helping hand to get you running?

Medway Sports Ready 2 Run group at Medway Park is aimed at adults new to running and provides a social, supportive environment with added exercises to improve mobility and running technique.

Improving your fitness gradually while having fun along the way is the main target, starting with small intervals of running and building towards 5K fitness.

Runners can then progress to the intermediate group. This is aimed at those who have already built a solid fitness base through our Beginner’s programme or elsewhere and looking to take their running on to the next level, whether that be improving their times, fitness, or distance.

The intermediate course features varied sessions which you can use to improve different aspects of your running such as speed, strength and endurance.

The venue for both groups will primarily be the Medway Park running track – a pleasant and safe environment for getting started, with changing facilities on site.

Beginners' Group: The next 10-week block of beginners sessions will run 6.15pm to 7pm on Wednesdays from 27 September 2017.

Intermediate Group: The next intermediate 10-week block for runners wanting to take their running to the next level begins Mondays 6.15pm to 7pm from October 2017.

It's free for Premier members, £5 a week or £40 for the whole 10 weeks in advance for non-members.

For more information and to sign up for the next Ready 2 Run group email edward.peters@medway.gov.uk.

We also run a junior version of this session on Monday evenings at Medway Park 5.15pm to 6pm as part of our Athlete Development Centres programme. This session has now stopped for the summer but will resume on Monday, 18 September 2017.
