We run three free annual mass participation events, all offering exciting opportunities for the community to come together to get active and have fun.

The Medway Mile was Medway's signature countdown event to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was such a success that it has remained on the annual event calendar as a legacy of the 2012 Games, two further mass participation events in swimming and cycling were added to the series from 2014 to build on the Medway sporting legacy.

2017 will be the tenth anniversary of the Medway Mile, and in this celebrative year we will be offering participants that attend all three of our events, listed below, an commemorative interlocking medal in appreciation of your support for our Medway sporting legacy programmes.

The Big Splash - January 2018

The Medway Big Splash mass participation event is based around aquatics and watersports in a week long programme of activities.

From taster sessions to inflatable pool parties and a mass community distance swimming challenge to our team challenge event, the programme offers something for all the family. In 2017 we added an Aquathlon multi race event to the programme with our club partners Medway Tri.
