Medway Big Ride

The Medway Cycling Festival

The new look Medway Cycling Festival will take place between Saturday 9 June 2018 and Sunday 17 June in conjunction with National Bike week.

The annual Cycling Festival is designed to encourage all residents to get on their bikes, demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling and encouraging active healthy lifestyles. The programme is linked to the Medway Cycle Action Plan and works in partnership with A Better Medway Active Medway Cycle Groups programme. Find out more about cycling in Medway.

In 2017 we introduced group rides - supported by guide riders - which started from sites across Medway during the morning. The aim was to encourage people to discover Medway's network of cycle routes. This will return in 2018 with listed routes.

Evans teams up with Medway Council to bring RIDE IT to the Medway Big Ride Cycling Festival.

The sportive routes start from Medway Park and take riders on a tour of the Kent countryside heading east towards Faversham then south into the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

RIDE IT is a series of organised off-road and road sportive bike rides that take place all over the UK. With over 50 events per year, RIDE IT is a fantastic way to meet like-minded cyclists and to get out and ride through stunning surroundings.
