Medway Mile

medway mile 2014 logoThe Medway Mile is the largest mass participation sports event staged in Medway.

Established in 2007 to mark the countdown to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, the Mile has become hugely successful and a landmark event on Medway’s calendar.

The Medway Mile will return on Friday 20 July 2018.

The 10th anniversary event

The 10th anniversary of the Medway Mile took place on Friday 21 July 2017 and celebrated all the best moments of the last 10 years of this popular community event.

The one-mile route allows people to walk, jog and run around historic Rochester, weaving through the picturesque town and High Street before ending within the grounds of Rochester Castle.

In this celebrative year, we offered participants that attended all three of our events - including the Big Splash and Big Ride - a commemorative interlocking medal in appreciation of your support for our Medway sporting legacy programmes.
