Awarded to an official who has demonstrated outstanding skills, levels of achievement and dedication in any field of officiating in any sport, including umpiring, refereeing and judging.

 

Official of the Year Vic PrattGold - Vic Pratt – Roller Dance

Vic has been a member of the Medway Roller Dance Club for 53 years.  Being qualified up to gold standard, he is always in demand to judge the NGB's proficiency tests.

He is an international results scrutiniser and regularly officiates at international championships and competitions throughout Europe. Vic is highly regarded by both the European and World governing bodies.

 

Silver - Michelle Ray - Netball

Michelle is a prolific umpire and mentor in Kent Netball. She is Kent’s Official of the Year and was shortlisted for England Netball’s Grassroots Official of the Year award.  Michelle is a key official and helps the county association and London and South East Regional Board develop umpires for the future. She exhibits a great passion for officiating at any level and helps a huge number of emerging officials to progress.

 

Bronze - Paul Caller - Swimming

Paul has made an outstanding contribution to swimming in Medway, supporting competitions for all clubs to take part in. Paul manages diverse and often inexperienced teams enabling events to go ahead. His best attribute however is the way in which he communicates with the swimmers, going out of his way to explain why decisions are made and how corrections can be made for the future.
