Duke of Edinburgh awardThe Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) programme.

It's a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. Providing you are aged between 14 and 24 years and realise there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by, you can register with us.

The Award  offers you an individual challenge and encourages, young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.

There are three levels  Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

There are four sections to each level of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (Five at Gold): Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expeditions, and at gold level, Residential.

Where it takes place

Medway Youth Service offers the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, which is delivered by experienced qualified staff, all of whom are keen to share their skills, enthusiasm and organise activities to help young people reach their full potential. The staff are able to work with all levels of ability and adjust the training to meet individual needs.

If you are looking at doing your award and you find that your school does not offer the opportunity then the Youth Service will be  able to help at one of our centres .
