Village Green consultation

The areas of woodland in Lordswood, known as Hall Wood and Hook Wood, are much loved and appreciated locally, providing facilities for leisure activities. The local community have written to the Council clearly stating that they want to continue to enjoy the local amenity and ancient woodland for a considerable time and Medway Council wishes to protect the area on behalf of the community.

The Council considers that an application for Village Green status for the woodland is the most appropriate route to achieve the necessary protection of the ancient wood and preserve the amenity for local people.

We would welcome your feedback regarding the application for Village Green status. By completing the Hook and Hall Woods questionnaire you will help the council in making its application.

The consultation period is open from Monday, 3 April until 5pm on Monday, 15 May 2017.
