We have commissioned Design South East, an independent not-for-profit organisation, to run a new project with Gillingham residents and businesses.
The aim of the project is to understand:
- what you value in your town centre
- what changes you would like to see.
With your help we'll develop a new Gillingham Town Centre Action Plan and set a clear vision for the transformation of the area over the coming years.
To do this, we’re inviting you to join a new community panel.
Gillingham Community Panel
Gillingham Community Panel is an opportunity to play a part in improving the town centre, making it a better place to live, work, learn and visit.
The panel will be made up of 40 people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to reflect the town's population.
By joining our community panel, you'll be able to share ideas about:
- the future of Gillingham Town Centre
- what community facilities Gillingham needs
- what you love about the area
- what makes you proud to be a part of the local community.
If you're selected, you'll take part in 3 workshops in Gillingham Town Centre which will run on the following dates:
- Saturday 2 November 2024
- Saturday 30 November 2024
- Saturday 1 February 2025.
Joining the panel
If you live, work or study in Gillingham, or visit the area regularly, then you could apply to join our community panel by completing our online form.
