How to recycle

In-vessel composting is the process where your food and garden waste is composted down at the Countrystyle Group in Sittingbourne.

How in-vessel composting works:

  1. food and garden waste is shredded
  2. shredded waste is sent to in-vessel bunkers for one week, maintaining temperatures of 70 degrees centigrade
  3. the waste is then left to mature for 6-8 weeks
  4. the end product is used in composting products and mainly used on Kent Farms

Unfortunately the end product produced is not available for residential re-sale.
