Your new Lordswood Library and Hub
In addition to all of the existing services, such as public access computers, public Wi-Fi, recycling bags, and the digital library, you now have direct access to a range of new and enhanced council services including:
- payment for council services such as rent and Council Tax
- sending documents for Blue Badge and bus pass applications
- newer, faster computers and improved public Wi-Fi
- bulky waste bookings
- a water bottle refill point
- disabled public toilet and baby changing facilities
- comfortable study and reading spaces
- a hireable meeting room and workspace
- freephone for council services.

- A place where young adults can meet and enjoy group events and activities.
- A quiet place to study or research.
- A great place for quality family time with younger children with a new children’s reading area.
- Fun events and clubs to encourage social skills and aid development.
Exciting clubs and events
Your new Lordswood Library and community hub now has a wide range of exciting clubs and activities:
- Baby Bounce and Rhyme Time - every Monday, 10am to 10.30am
- Lego Club - every Tuesday, 3.30pm to 4pm
- pop-in and play - every Thursday, 9.30am to 10am
- readers' group - first Thursday of the month, 10.30am to 11.30am
- crime readers' group - last Thursday of the month, 10.30am to 11am
- Toddler Shake and Boogie - every Friday, 9.30am to 10am
- knitting group - every Friday, 2pm to 4pm
- Teatime Storytime - every Friday, 3.45pm to 4.30pm
- Family Lego Club - every Saturday, 10.45am to 11.45am
- pop-in and play - every Saturday, 10am to 12pm
- board games for adults
- Songs and Scones.
Your new ‘greener’ Lordswood Library and Hub
Your new library and hub has been improved so that it is better for the environment as well as for you. This includes:
- thermally efficient windows to better retain heat and use of natural light
- modern, energy-efficient LED lighting
- improved heating system
- generation of our own electricity with new solar panels
- lighter, airier, and more welcoming spaces.
