Our Community Care Service offers advice and information about community care issues, including finding out what help you can get from your local social services department; how to access the help; and how to make a complaint to your social services department if you are not happy with their decisions or the services they offer.
Some of the help that people affected by autism may be entitled to includes Direct Payments, day centres, respite services, or help with housing options.
Get in touch
- Call our Autism Helpline on 0808 800 4104 (open Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm, and Friday, 9am-3pm).
The helpline will take details of your query and arrange a telephone appointment for you with our community care case worker. The case worker will call you back at the agreed time to discuss your query in detail.
- Email the community care service to book a telephone appointment, or to ask advice by email.
Please include your age (or the age of the person in question), details of your community care query and tell us the name of your local authority.
We aim to respond to emails within 10 working days but this may take longer if one of our advisers is away.
