- How to recycle
-
Insulation from your home can either be disposed of:
- at household waste and recycling centres in the non-recyclable waste container
- in black sacks at kerbside on your usual collection day.
Please note that all loft insulation must be securely tied within a black sack. Loose or exposed insulation
will not be collected. Examples of insulation
- fibreglass/glass wool
- rock wool
- polyurethane (PUR) foam
- PUR boards.
Please note that there is a small chance that insulation installed in your home before 1999 may contain asbestos.
If you are in any doubt, please contact an asbestos removal specialist before disturbing the insulation.
