Charing House provides a total of 88 beds divided up into separate wings named after former mayors and lady mayors of Gillingham.
The home is split up into 5 separate wings:
- Bessie Parr Wing will be 22 beds
- George Smith Wing with 22 beds
- William Griffin Wing with 19 beds
- Barry Hodgman Wing with 8 beds
- Freddie Cooper Wing with 16 beds.

Accessibility
There is a passenger carrying lift to all floors in the building for those unable to manage stairs.
A service lift runs separately to 2 floors.
The home has been designed and furnished to ensure wheelchair access in all rooms, and all bathrooms contain either a static bath or a shower tray and are large enough to accommodate lifting aids.
It has a variety of specialist equipment required to care for our clients.
