Medway’s Community Safety Partnership (CSP) was formed following the introduction of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

This act placed a statutory duty on ‘responsible authorities’ to work collaboratively to develop and implement a Community Safety Strategy (Plan) designed to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour within Medway.

Our annual assessment

Every Community Safety Partnership in England is required to produce a plan. This plan sets out the key strategic aims and priorities for the partnership and how we plan to deliver on these.

We’re currently developing our latest action plan, which will be in place from April 2025.

The partnership wants to engage with as many local agencies and voluntary groups as possible.

To inform the plan, we undertake an annual Crime and Disorder ‘Strategic Assessment’ that informs the progress of the plan, work of partners and effective delivery of community safety work.

Have your say

We want to understand the views of local residents and businesses around community safety and hear your thoughts on what you think we should prioritise locally.

Your feedback will help us to shape the latest action plan, focusing on the things that matter most to you, helping keep Medway a safe place to live, work, learn and visit.

The online survey is open to everyone and takes a few minutes to complete. It closes at midnight on Sunday 6 October 2024.
