Dickensian Christmas Market terms and conditions
- All bookings are subject to our confirmation, once we've received payment of a non-refundable deposit.
- Stalls must be open to trade 10am to 6pm on both days of the festival.
- Stall allocation will be issued in accordance with the design of the event and in relevance to the level of pitch.
- We'll only provide the power supply that has been pre-agreed and set out on your application form (additional power is subject to agreement and additional costs).
- Stallholders must only use the power we supply (generators are not permitted).
- Applications will be checked for quality and suitability. We reserve the right to refuse any application for sale of goods which are not appropriate for this event and/or are oversubscribed.
- The pitch fee for each stall is in the booking form. Additional stalls will be charged at multiples of these prices.
- Your stall must be open for the whole of the day.
- Vehicles may unload by their stall until one hour before opening time. After set-up, vehicles must then be removed from the stall area to the designated car park (car park details will be in your stallholder information pack).
- Vehicles will not be permitted back into the stall area until after the festival has closed and event organiser’s have given authority to do so.
- Stallholders are asked to not use single use plastics.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission if proved necessary.
- Stallholders who do not act in an appropriate manner will be asked to leave.
- Pictures of goods for sale must accompany the booking forms.
- Stallholders must occupy their pitch on all dates.
- Stallholders must make sure that their stalls are staffed at all times.
- Setting up and dismantling must be carried out outside of market opening hours.
- Stalls must be dressed in a festive manner and staff should wear festive clothing.
- Stalls must advertise the accepted methods of payment. For example, cash, card or both.
- Stallholders must provide documentation of their public liability insurance. The National Market Traders Federation offer reasonably priced cover for stallholders.
- We'll have overnight security for the event. However, stallholders must remove all stock, cash and items of high value overnight. We cannot accept liability for any losses.
- You must not use amplified selling techniques or tout for business.
- Stallholders must make sure that their rubbish is kept neat and tidy during the day.
- All rubbish must be disposed of in the large waste bins provided at the end of each day.
- Any rubbish left by the stall may incur a charge. Large Items such as pallets will not be accepted.
