If you are a customer of a food business and are unhappy you should first contact the food business operator.
If that does not work you can make a complaint to us and we'll investigate the problem.
What you'll need
You’ll need the following information to make a report:
- your details, including name and address
- your contact details
- details of the premises or address where the issue occurred
- details of the complaint.
After you’ve made a report
We may contact you if you do not provide enough information in your report.
All complaints are recorded against the business concerned and are a useful source of intelligence. However, not all complaints are investigated. It is difficult for us to investigate individual complaints of suspected food poisoning without a confirmed diagnosis from a medical practitioner.
