Volunteer groups
Country park volunteer groups
These groups are either self-led or led by a countryside ranger and are almost completely based around hands-on tasks such as habitat management or litter picking.
These groups volunteer on both weekdays and weekends.
For more information on volunteering at a country park email medway-countryside-service@ncsgrp.co.uk.
Informal volunteer groups
Some of our volunteers want to get involved by helping out at their local parks or greenspaces. This can involve tasks such as litter picking and fundraising for improvements.
Sometimes this leads to a more formal group which can become a 'Friends of' group to help maintain and improve parks in the area.
For more information on volunteering contact a volunteer group listed below or email yournew@medway.gov.uk.
‘Friends of’ groups
These are independent community groups who work with us to maintain, improve and promote specific parks in Medway.
There are ‘Friends of’ groups at many of our parks and they provide a forum that allows people to discuss ways we can shape the parks and host a variety of activities such as events and fundraisers.
For more information on volunteering contact a volunteer group listed below or email yournew@medway.gov.uk.
