We continually monitor personal injury road traffic crash information supplied by Kent Police.
The crash data is checked and recorded onto a database for analysis to help identify patterns and common causes leading up to the incident.
Personal injury collisions are categorised by severity:
- Fatal - a crash resulting in a death
- Serious - detention in hospital, includes paralysis, fractures and severe lacerations
- Slight - includes whiplash, sprains and minor lacerations.
The table of data and graphs below, summarise the Road Traffic Crash statistics in Medway from 2014 to 2023 and includes killed or seriously injured (KSI), slight and total casualties:
Year | KSI casualties | Slight casualties | Total casualties |
---|---|---|---|
2023 | 116 | 562 | 678 |
2022 | 94 | 544 | 638 |
2021 | 83 | 544 | 627 |
