Virtual Fostering Recruitment Information Event

Are you interested in fostering and have questions you’d like answered?

These free, online information sessions are targeted at new or experienced foster carers, such as those considering transferring to Medway. You will find out about fostering, what it involves and next steps. You will meet members of the Medway Fostering Team, and will have the opportunity to hear directly from an experienced Foster Carer, sharing their knowledge and experience of fostering, enabling you to explore the possibility of becoming a Foster Carer. We value diversity which means each and every personal circumstance and life experience. They all add to our ever-growing family of fostering families, learning and growing together.

These events will include information on:

  • how to become a foster carer, including how to apply
  • training opportunities
  • the fostering assessment and approval process
  • the children and young people that need foster care
  • the different types of fostering
  • the fostering pay structure, rewards and the support we offer at Medway.

You'll need the Microsoft Teams app to join this event. For more information, email fcrecruitment@medway.gov.uk or call 01634 335 600.
