Rochester Riverside
Rochester Riverside will provide new homes and jobs in Medway as well as bringing other benefits to the area including a range of open spaces, retail and leisure facilities.
There will also be improvements made to the ‘Gateways’ between the River Medway and Rochester High Street.
New hotel to be delivered
<p>Construction at the scheme has begun on the first three phases, comprising 489 homes and a hotel, along with 885 square metres of commercial floorspace and landscaping.</p>

Opening of the Sales and Marketing Suite

Commended at Planning Awards 2018

Groundbreaking ceremony
<p>Medway’s landmark regeneration scheme, Rochester Riverside has broken ground marking the beginning of construction and heralding a new chapter for the area.</p> <p>The start of construction by Countryside will begin the delivery of a new riverside destination for the region.</p>

Planning proposals submitted
<p>Planning proposals were submitted phases 1 to 3 of Rochester Riverside for the delivery of new quality homes.</p>

Multi storey car park opened
<p>The new multi storey car park was opened providing hundreds more car parking spaces in the town, just in time for the Sweeps Festival.</p>

Rochester Station opened
<p>The new Rochester Station was opened giving passengers use five extra trains to London in the morning and one extra return train in the evening.</p>

Riverwalk Gym
<p>Riverwalk Gym was opened by Medway born gold medallist, Charlotte Evans.</p>
"I think it’s essential people have the opportunity to exercise when they can and this new outdoor gym has some fantastic equipment which covers a wide range of training. “Not only can you pop along and get exercise whenever you want but it’s totally free and in the great outdoors with a lovely view. I can’t wait to use it myself.”

Southern Gateway
<p>Improvements have been made to Southern Gateway including 73 new homes delivered in partnership with Hyde. There were also improvements to the Doust Way link road, public square and Bath Hard Lane ‘Gateway’.</p>
