Wander back through time as you make your way down the enchanting cobbled high street to the grand entrance gates, where you will pass through the beautiful studded oak doors of the gatehouse into the grassed inner courtyard.

Upnor Castle's wedding room echoes the castle's historic past. Once a store for munitions, the powder-barrel seating is a novel addition for your wedding.

Fees

To have your ceremony at Upnor Castle, you'll need to pay:

  • the venue hire: contact Upnor Castle
  • the booking fee (non-refundable): £60
  • the ceremony fee (Monday to Friday): £490
  • the ceremony fee (Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday): £590
  • the giving notice fee: £42 per person (£84 per couple)
  • for a marriage or civil partnership certificate: £12.50.
