Homelessness is more common than people realise and can take many forms.
Our information for young people and parents aims to:
- give housing advice
- help you learn about homelessness including legislation
- prevent youth homelessness.

Housing options
If you're aged 16 to 18 and have been asked to leave home, there is help you can access locally.
If you're unable to return home, you can get support with your accommodation.
About youth homelessness
Our commitment is to keep families together wherever possible as long as it is safe and best for the child.
Homelessness at a young age should be avoided if possible.

Local councils have power and responsibilities under certain sections of the homelessness code.
