All electors included in the 2024 Register of Electors will be eligible to vote in the elections, including those registered as Overseas electors.

EU citizens are not eligible to vote in the General Election. Existing electors do not need to re-register for these elections.

Poll cards

Poll cards were sent to electors from 10 June 2024.

You do not need to take your poll card with you to the polling station, but, you need to take a form of voter ID

Postal packs

When your postal vote packs are sent out depends on if you're already registered to vote by post and where the pack is being sent.

If you're already registered to vote by post

You will be sent your postal vote pack on:

  • 18 June if you've asked for your pack to be sent to an address outside of the UK
  • 20 June if you've asked for your pack to be sent to an address in the UK
  • 26 June if you applied for a postal vote after 7 June.

If you have not received your postal vote pack by Friday 28 June, or it's lost or damaged, we can issue a replacement pack. To receive a replacement pack, call 01634 332 030. 

If you're unable to vote at a polling station on Thursday 4 July, you can appoint a proxy (have someone vote on your behalf).

The deadline to appoint a proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.
