Some of the finest Ballroom and Latin dancers in the world will be waltzing into Medway next month.
Medway Park in Gillingham will host the 70th International Dance Festival on Monday, 2 October, Tuesday, 3 October and Wednesday, 4 October.
With a huge number of entries and broad age categories, spectators and contestants are in for some exciting but tiring days with doors opening at 6am and closing at 2am.
Honour to host this prestigious international event
Cllr Harinder Mahil, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and Leisure, said: “It is an honour to host this prestigious international event at the world class Medway Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for both residents and visitors to see some of the world’s best dancers at what is sure to be an amazing event.”
Tickets cost £40 and can bought on the door, but seating can’t be guaranteed.
Once the dancing is done at Medway Park, the winners will be heading off to the Royal Albert Hall for the grand finals on Thursday, 5 October.
