Each month, our housing service carries out the Big Door Knock – an opportunity to engage directly with its tenants and leaseholders.
Medway Council’s next Big Door Knock will be taking place in Brompton on Thursday, 11 July from 10am to 1pm.
It gives council officers a chance speak to Medway Council tenants and carry out a short survey to find out which issues are most important to them, as well as any improvements they feel could be made.
The Big Door Knock will also be taking place in Twydall on Thursday, 8 August and in Gillingham on Friday, 20 September.

Drop-in resident surgeries
Regular drop-in resident surgeries are also held, where tenants can speak to our housing team, and our contractor Mears, about any housing related matters or repairs that may be needed.
The summer dates for the drop-in surgeries are:
- Tuesday, 9 July – Twydall Library - 11am to 1pm
- Monday, 15 July – Rainham Library - 11am to 1pm
- Thursday, 8 August – Wigmore Library - 11am to 1pm
- Friday, 30 August – Gillingham Library - 11am to 1pm
Engage with people face-to-face
Adam Bryan, Medway Council’s Director of Place, said: “Having taken part in one of our Big Door Knock sessions myself, I know first-hand how valuable these events are to our team, but even more importantly our residents. It is really important that we get out there into our communities and engage with people face-to-face. We want to ensure that we are delivering for our tenants, and the Big Door Knock and the drop-in surgeries provide perfect opportunities for us to get that feedback from people. Great opportunity
