Medway’s Christmas pantomime is set to reach new heights this year – get ready for heaps of fe-fi-fo-fun with Jack and the Beanstalk!
Children, and those young at heart, will love this unforgettable Christmas treat, with live music, vibrant costumes, stunning sets, awe-inspiring special effects, and plenty of panto fun!
Performances will take place at The Central Theatre from Thursday, 12 December 2024 to Sunday, 5 January 2025.
Alex Anstey, back again by popular demand, will be bringing all of the usual panto shenanigans as Dame Trott. He will be joined by CBeebies star Katy Ashworth, who will be sprinkling magic across the stage as Fairy Fuchsia. Britain’s Got Talent sensation Andrew Curphey will be full of (magical) beans bringing high-energy and excitement as Silly Billy, and Strictly Come Dancing winner and Holby City star, Joe McFadden, is taking on the role of the giant’s henchman – Fleshcreep.
Amazing and magical show
Cllr Nina Gurung, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and Leisure, said: “It is never too early to start thinking about Christmas, and it is really exciting to see this year’s pantomime at The Central Theatre start to take shape with some of the brilliant cast members being announced. It is sure to be an amazing and magical show that children, and more than a few adults, across Medway will love!”
Spectacular pantomime
Andrew Curphey said: “I am so excited to play Billy in this year’s spectacular pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ at The Central Theatre, Chatham.
