Residents are being warned about a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) text message scam.

There have been reports of residents receiving text messages saying they have received a PCN with a link to pay via a fake website.

We will never contact you about a PCN via text message. Our Parking Enforcement team will only ever issue a PCN by placing it on a vehicle’s windshield, or by sending it through the post.

Details of how to pay or appeal a PCN are included on the back of the ticket.

If you recieve a message like this, we would encourage you to report it to Action Fraud, either through their website or by calling 0300 123 2040.
