A new Child-Friendly Medway art exhibition showcasing the work created and inspired by Medway’s children and young people is set to run in Chatham.

The exhibition will be running at the Halpern Gallery at Nucleus Arts Centre in Chatham from Saturday, 16 November to Tuesday, 26 November.

The work on display highlights some of the things that our young people have made through Child-Friendly Medway’s Seeing is Believing programme and partnership working, as well as designs they have inspired such as the creation of the Child-Friendly Medway mascot – Mojo.

Creations from the Signs of Youth campaign, Child-Friendly Medway’s Postbox initiative, the Magical Creature Trail and the More Medway song will also all be proudly on display.

The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, and the exhibition is free to attend. Booking is not required.

Put the creativity of our children and young people on display

Cllr Adam Price, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services, said: “This is a brilliant idea and opportunity to put the creativity of our children and young people on display. Our Child-Friendly Medway team hold events throughout the year and work closely with a number of partners across Medway – being able to bring some of the amazing work that has been created into one place is fantastic, and I hope as many of you as possible are able to come down to Chatham and see it!”
